Russian regional authorities say that a pipeline, two vessels and two berths were damaged due to Ukrainian drone attacks in the Volna settlement in Russia’s Krasnodar Region on the evening of 21 December and on the night of 22 December. This is stated in the message in the telegram channel of the Operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region.
In particular, according to the message, the pipeline at one of the terminals in the village of Volna was damaged due to UAV debris. “There are no casualties. The area of the fire was 100 square metres,” – stated in the message.
In addition, as the headquarters said, everyone on board the damaged ships was evacuated, there were no casualties.
“At the berths, the damage led to fires with an area of 1,000 square metres to 1,500 square metres. Active extinguishing is now underway,” regional authorities said.
The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the attack.
The Volna settlement is located near the Kerch bridge connecting Crimea with Russia.
Ukraine regularly launches strikes in Russia’s Krasnodar region, targeting in particular energy facilities that Kiev says are funding the Kremlin’s military efforts.
