SpaceX’s Cargo Dragon, launched the previous day, docked with the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday, NASA said.
The docking with the station was carried out at 06:37 US East Coast time (13:37 Kiev time). The spacecraft autonomously moored to the forward docking point of the Harmony module of the US segment of the station.
As part of the CRS-34 mission, it delivered to the station about 2.3 tonnes of food, as well as equipment and materials for dozens of scientific experiments by its crew.
The launch of the “truck” to the ISS was conducted as part of a contract between NASA and SpaceX to supply the station.
It will remain as part of the ISS for about a month. Cargo Dragon is the only spacecraft for the supply of the station, which is able to return cargo to Earth, driven in the ocean.
SpaceX has launched 33 Cargo Dragon cargo ships to the ISS between October 2012 and August 2025. One of them (in 2015) failed due to a Falcon 9 launch vehicle accident.
