Starlink’s network has resumed operations after an outage that lasted about 2.5 hours, the company’s vice president Michael Nichols said.
“The outage was due to a failure of key internal software services that manage the core network. We apologise for the temporary disruption to our service; we are committed to providing a highly reliable network and will fully remediate this issue to ensure it does not recur,” he wrote on social network X.
In the evening of 24 July, the Starlink service, which provides access to the Internet thanks to a network of satellites, was disrupted worldwide. The Starlink service for the Ukrainian military is critical for ensuring communication on the front line.
