An insider under the nickname Majin Bu has reported a likely new feature in iOS 19.It relates to working with external displays from a Type-C wire and, according to the source, will be similar to a feature already existing in macOS called Stage Manager.
If you connect an iPhone running iOS 18 to an external wired display, only the reflection feature will be available, which means normal screen streaming. According to an insider, iOS 19 will change that: users will be able to “extend the screen space” to an external monitor for presentations, text editing, and improved content viewing experience.
The new feature’s operation is expected to resemble Stage Manager from macOS. This is a multiple window display mode where a working window is placed in the centre of the screen and the rest are placed as interactive previews on the side. Apple itself has not commented on the insider publication.
