Ukraine imported mobile phones and video phones worth almost $1.23 billion

The volume of imports into Ukraine of electric telephone or telegraph apparatus and videophones (UKTZVED 8517) into Ukraine in January–June 2026 rose by 83.6 per cent compared with the same period in 2025 – to almost $1.23 billion, according to statistics from the State Customs Service.

According to the statistics, in June in particular, imports of these products rose by almost 2.2 times compared with June last year – to $234.8 million.

The largest volume of these products in January–June was imported from China (50.7 per cent, or $621 million); with imports also coming from the US ($155.3 million) and Vietnam ($108.7 million), whereas last year the main sources were China ($362.6 million), Vietnam ($103.5 million) and the US ($56.3 million).

At the same time, exports of these products from Ukraine in the first half of the year totalled $62.5 million (in January–June 2025 — $60 million). Shipments were made primarily to Hungary (70.2 per cent), Poland (18 per cent) and Taiwan (8.4 per cent). During the same period last year, exports were also mainly to Hungary (71.5 per cent), as well as to Poland (23 per cent) and Spain (1 per cent).

According to the State Customs Service, as reported, in 2025, telephone and telegraph equipment and videophones worth almost $1.634 billion were imported into Ukraine – 29.5 per cent more than in 2024; in particular, $907.9 million’s worth came from China.
