The United States had “nothing to do” with Israel’s latest attack on Iran, President Donald Trump said on the Truth Social network.
The American leader also reminded Tehran of the possible consequences of aggression against America.
“If Iran attacks us in any way or form, the full … might of the United States military will attack you on levels that have never been seen before,” the president warned.
At the same time, Trump emphasised that Washington could play a mediating role in ending the conflict between Israel and Iran.
“However, we can easily broker an agreement between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict,” he wrote.
On the night of 13 June, Israel launched an attack on Iran. Israeli jets struck uranium enrichment facilities in Natang and Fordow, missile bases in Kermanshah and Khorremabad, and Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz and other major Iranian cities were also under attack.
In response, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel. On the evening of 13 June, the IDF estimated that Iran fired fewer than 100 ballistic missiles at Israel during two rocket attacks, The Times of Israel reported.
