Microsoft is preparing a radical change of the screen of death in the new Windows 11 update.Instead of the usual blue screen, the company is testing a green variant, as well as removing the sad smiley face and QR code.
The reason for such changes is that users get too frightened when the system displays a critical error. Microsoft has decided to make the screen less alarming, so that it would be perceived not so dramatically.
In addition to green, the company is also considering a black option, but the final decision has not been made yet. Perhaps both colours will be used depending on the type of failure.
The new design does look calmer, but many believe that Windows will lose the iconic colouring that for years has been associated with serious system failures.
