The US company Amazon.com Inc. plans to invest a further $13 billion in India with the aim of expanding its cloud and AI infrastructure, according to a company statement.

This brings the total value of its investment in the country for the period 2026–2030 to $48 billion.

Late last year, Amazon announced that it would invest $35 billion in the development of its Indian business by the end of 2030. At the time, the company stated that it intended to invest, in particular, in expanding its logistics infrastructure and developing artificial intelligence technologies, including the creation of new data centres.

The additional investment will be directed towards expanding the data centres of its cloud division, AWS, in Mumbai and Hyderabad, according to the statement.
