In Russia, a passenger plane An-24 crashed in the Amur region, with 49 people on board.

Earlier it became known that the aircraft, which was carrying out a flight Khabarovsk – Blagoveshchensk – Tynda, disappeared. About any malfunctions on board during the flight the crew did not report. During the landing in Tynda, the aircraft failed to land the first time and went for a second round, after which it stopped communicating.

According to Interfax news agency, its wreckage was found 15 kilometres from Tynda. The aircraft was destroyed, the agency quoted a representative of the rescue services as saying. According to the Emergencies Ministry, the aircraft’s fuselage was burnt.

The An-24 was found on a mountainside. According to one of the versions, the cause of the crash could be the crew’s mistake in conditions of poor visibility due to cloud cover.

According to the TASS news agency with reference to the Telegram channel of Amur Region Governor Vasily Orlov, 43 passengers, including five children, and six crew members were on board the aircraft. There were no survivors, according to preliminary data.

A rescue helicopter was unable to land in the area of the accident, emergency services had to get there on foot, the Shot telegram channel reported.
