Apple continues to explore innovative designs, this time focusing on all-glass cases of future iPhones, Apple Watch and even Mac Pro. According to a recent patent, the corporation is considering devices with all of their outer surfaces made of glass, which creates a transparent effect and allows you to use the interface from any angle.
These glass cases will not only improve the appearance of the devices, but will also present new interactive features. Apple describes touch-sensitive and force-sensitive zones that can be located on the sides and back of the gadgets, allowing the interface to adapt depending on how the user holds the gadget.
For the iPhone, a design with six glass sides on which the interface can be displayed is described, with the ability to dynamically change the user interface depending on the orientation of the device. This would allow users to interact with the device regardless of which side it is turned towards the user.
While the patents do not guarantee that such products will go on sale, they still provide a glimpse of a potential direction for Apple’s device development that could lead to more exciting and interactive solutions in the company’s product line.
