A fire and a powerful explosion ripped through the port of Rajai in southern Iran on 26 April, injuring at least 195 people, rescue services said.
Witnesses said the intensity of the blast was so great that windows blew out in houses within a radius of several kilometres.
Rajai port, on the outskirts of Bandar Abbas, is one of Iran’s main container shipping centres.
The cause of the explosion is not yet known. The Hormozgan provincial crisis management office said containers exploded.
