Denmark has announced its 26th military aid package to Ukraine, which includes artillery systems, ammunition, equipment for the AFU air force and expansion of the training base, the Danish Defence Ministry has said.
The aid amounts to about 4.2 billion Danish kroner for the period 2025-2028 and is financed by a Ukrainian fund and the European Peace Facility.
“Unfortunately, Ukraine’s need for assistance and support has not diminished. I am happy and proud that we are once again able to allocate funds for donations that will make a difference on the battlefield in both the short and long term. Denmark has been an unwavering supporter of Ukraine since the beginning of the war. We will continue to do so in the years to come,” Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen said.
The package includes supplies of artillery shells, particularly as part of the Czech initiative, as well as equipment for combat aircraft. In spring 2024, Denmark, the Czech Republic and the Netherlands joined forces to finance the purchase of ammunition, and the additional funds will ensure a steady supply.
“Denmark has been an unwavering supporter of Ukraine since the beginning of the war and will continue its support,” Poulsen emphasised.
