1. Tom Cruise and Katie Golmes
American actress Katie Golmes from childhood dreamed of marrying Tom Cruise . At 16, the girl hid the photo of the idol in textbooks and prayed every day for his health.
The couple met at one of the Hollywood parties in 2005. That evening, Kathy accidentally poured a glass of champagne on Cruz. A spark flashed between the actors. A year later, in April, the couple had a daughter Suri.
After the birth of the baby Cruz invited his girlfriend to Paris, where during lunch at a restaurant on the Eiffel Tower confessed to her. In November 2006, the lovers got engaged in Italy. However, the couple lived in marriage for six years. In the summer of 2012 Golmes and Cruz officially divorced.
2. John Lennon and Yoko Ono
The love story of The Beatles member John Lennon and avant-garde artist Yoko Ono resembled a work of modern art . They met in 1966 in a London gallery where Yoko was presenting an exhibition of her works
. She, in turn, was not impressed by his popularity, despite the fact that The Beatles were already world stars at the time. After meeting, their relationship grew rapidly.
Soon after their first date, John separated from his wife, and Yoko became pregnant, but lost the child to a miscarriage. Dali their life turned into a real performance art. They liked to shock the public with their shootings, statements about political life and protests, praising humanistic values, freedom and world peace. Three years later, in 1969, they married. They lived together for 14 years until Lennon’s assassination separated them.
3. Victoria and David Beckham
The singer and footballer met in the late 90s, their romance spun very quickly, and in 1999 the celebrities concluded an official marriage.
To Victoria, the British athlete did not have a serious relationship. Meanwhile, Victoria herself was even engaged to Mark Woods, but made a career choice and ended the four-year relationship.
David Beckham is rumoured to have fallen in love with his future wife after seeing her on TV. He organised for the Spice Girls to be invited to a Manchester United match, where they met.
4. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
The American singer and the Oscar-winning actor already dated in the early 2000s. Then the couple’s relationship ended abruptly without reaching the wedding.
For 20 years they were in different marriages and several times became parents. However, fate again returned J. Lo and Ben Affleck to each other. In the spring of 2021, it became known that the actor decided to support his former favourite after her breakup with Alex Rodriguez. After that, their feelings were restored, and in the summer of 2022, the star couple played a grand wedding.
5. Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian
The athlete and Reddit author met in the very romantic city of Rome, but under unpleasant circumstances : they were brought closer by a rat . Alexis came to have breakfast at a restaurant where Serena and her friends were already there. Ohanian sat very close to the tennis player’s table, which angered Williams’ assistant, and then he decided to scare the future husband of the athlete with a rat.
