Google has launched AI search adverts and claims they are “useful”

A new format of advertising in AI search was presented at the Google Marketing Live conference. Advertising blocks appear after the generated answers, and the usual blue links with search results are located underneath them.

The company claims that such adverts help users find products or services faster.

Google’s internal data shows that users find such advertising useful, as it allows you to quickly contact the relevant companies or services at the right time, – said in the accompanying document Google.

At the same time, the company does not specify what data was analysed and does not disclose the methodology of information collection.

However, Google is actively developing its advertising tools. In the last quarter alone, the company earned $72.5 billion from advertising, and this figure could grow even more if advertising in AI Overviews becomes the new standard.
