Inspiration and magic: Which European city is perfect for a travel-reboot

The Czech Republic is one of the best countries for tourism. It is relatively close, has quite democratic prices, and is hospitable to Ukrainians. If you have already been to Prague or Brno many times, you should pay attention to Český Krumlov.

Český Krumlov is located on the Vltava River in Southern Bohemia. It is separated from Prague by about 90 kilometres. The town has preserved its medieval atmosphere so well that it has been called a time machine. Narrow streets, coloured houses with coats of arms, atmospheric shops and cosy coffee houses attract tourists from all over the world.

The highlight of the city is the castle, the second largest in the Czech Republic. In terms of grandeur and beauty it is second only to Prague Castle. St Vitus Cathedral is also a very famous location.

The city values its past so much that every year they organise the Five-Petal Rose Festival. It resembles a carnival, but is a clarification: you should dress only in medieval costumes.

The rule applies to both locals and tourists. It’s worth noting that you don’t have to buy the outfit, but you can rent it at democratic prices.

Český Krumlov is ideal for a short reset. You can spend a few days there enjoying the majestic yet cosy town, tasting local delicacies and drinking coffee.
