A cyberattack against social network X (formerly Twitter) is ongoing, its owner Ilon Musk said on 10 March.
“There was and still is a massive cyberattack against X. we are attacked daily, but this one was executed with great resources,” he wrote on his page.
Musk suggested that a “large coordinated group and/or country” may have been involved in the attack, though he did not say which one.
X users reported outages on the social network throughout the day on 10 March. The monitoring service DownDetector also records an increase in the number of weaponised alerts over the past 24 hours – they relate to both website and app performance.
