In the new season the role of Francesca continues to perform Anna Dodd. The plot unfolds two years after the death of her husband, when the heroine decides to return to the “marriage market” in London.

Francesca’s life changes dramatically after the return to the city of Michaela Sterling (played by Masali Baduza). This encounter will force the heroine to rethink her own feelings and priorities.

The series, based on Julia Quinn’s novels, continues to move away from the literary source material. In the books, Francesca’s love interest was Michael-brother of her late husband-while in the Netflix version, that character has become a female character-sister Michaela.

Despite the high anticipation rating, supporters were divided in their opinions. A significant portion of the audience hoped that the fifth season would focus on the story of rebel Eloise Bridgerton. However, the showrunners decided to focus on the development of Francesca’s line, which only began to unfold in the previous series.
