Poland deported dozens of Georgian and Moldovan citizens

The Polish Border Guard Service, with the assistance of Frontex (European Border and Coast Guard Service), deported 27 citizens of Georgia and 13 citizens of Moldova “for security reasons”, the Polish Border Guard Service reported online X.

“Among Georgian nationals, 20 people received binding decisions on forced deportation, for reasons of state security or protection of public order. In the case of Moldovan citizens, these were 9 men. One of the Georgians had 12 convictions for theft. Other foreigners were detained in particular for driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal stay on Polish territory,” the statement said.

The deportees also included people who “helped and participated in organising illegal border crossings by other foreigners”, as well as those who changed their personal data to get into Poland.

More than 4.6 thousand foreigners have left Poland forcibly and voluntarily since the beginning of the year, the Border Guard Service said.
