Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage was hanging by a thread: what saved the couple’s relationship

In an interview with Fox News Digital, former royal photographer Ian Pelham Turner noted that there were earlier rumours in the media about tensions in the marriage of the heir to the British throne.

At one point, there were rumours that William and Kate’s marriage may not have been as happy as the public seemed to think. William is known for his temper tantrums and Kate found ways to calm the situation down, but I personally believe that after his cancer diagnosis and the threat of losing her, the closeness between the two was rekindled,
– he stated.

The expert also explained the couple’s decision to change their place of residence. He said the move from Adelaide Cottage to the larger Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park was prompted by a desire for a quieter and more private family life.

“That’s why decisions were made such as choosing a quieter accommodation instead of a palace, to try and lead a normal family life,” says the photographer.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich emphasised in a comment to the publication that serious adversity can either destroy a marriage or make it stronger.

Adversity either destroys a marriage or brings spouses closer together after going through hardships. Certainly their marriage has led to the latter option rather than the former… They never descend into horrible gossip, which is quite admirable,
– she concluded.

Recall, earlier Prince William published a new family card with children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The family in the photo sat in a field of daffodils.
