Russia: Drones have attacked the Azot chemical plant in the Tula Region and the Temp plant in the Ryazan Region

On the night of 14 June, the Tula Region of the Russian Federation came under attack from drones, according to the local governor, Dmitry Milyaev.

“Dear residents of the Tula Region! A UAV attack alert has been issued for the region. Please remain calm. The single emergency number is 112,” the official wrote.

Shortly after 2 am, OSINT channels began publishing videos from eyewitnesses who had captured footage of the drones flying overhead and the moment explosions occurred at the Azot plant, where a fire broke out.

In addition to the chemical plant, drones also struck railway infrastructure in the Smolensk region of the Russian Federation, in the city of Vyazma, as also reported by OSINT channels.

On the morning of 14 June, drones attacked a Rosrezerv facility in the Yaroslavl region. According to OSINT analysis by ASTRA, the target of the strike was the Temp Combine Federal State Unitary Enterprise in Rybinsk. Thick smoke rose above the city following the attack. There is as yet no official confirmation regarding the consequences of the strike or possible damage to the facility.

The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 249 drones had allegedly been shot down. The ministry stated that the drones had been detected over 15 regions of Russia, the occupied Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov. According to the Russian side, the largest number of drones were shot down over regions bordering Ukraine, specifically Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk. There is as yet no independent confirmation of this information.
