The Russian State Duma has announced that the Prosecutor General’s Office supported the proposal to include the German media company Deutsche Welle in the register of “undesirable” organisations. This was reported on 13 December by the Telegram channel of the Russian parliament’s commission to investigate foreign interference in Russia’s internal affairs.
“DW is at the forefront of enemy anti-Russian propaganda and has repeatedly become the object of the commission’s critical assessment following the monitoring of its provocative publications, especially during the election period,” said commission chairman Vasily Piskarev.
It is not specified when exactly it was decided to include Deutsche Welle in the register of “undesirable” organisations. Neither the official list of “undesirable” organisations nor the reports of the Prosecutor General’s Office contain relevant references to them.
