On 12 December, the Russian Ministry of Justice added four new names to the list of so-called foreign agents.
Among the foreign agents were Israeli journalist Mikhail Gurevich, author of the telegram channel Kolya Hadashot (all news from Hebrew), and Youtube-blogger and writer Vitaly Egorov, known for running the channel “open space Green Cat”.
Two more new “foreign agents” were orientalist and activist Dorjo Dugarov and MP and public figure Alexander Karavainy.
According to the Russian authorities, the members of the “foreign agents” register disseminate inaccurate information about the decisions and policies of the Russian authorities, as well as cooperate with other “foreign agents”, “undesirable” organisations or “foreign information sources”.
