Russia: Moscow authorities reported a nighttime drone attack

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has announced a nighttime drone attack.

According to his preliminary data, a drone hit a building in the Mosfilmovsky district. There are no casualties.

Telegram channel ASTRA writes that the distance from the damaged house in Moscow to the Kremlin is about 6 kilometres.

Later, Sobyanin also announced an attack by two drones that flew towards Moscow, it was allegedly repelled by the Defence Ministry’s air defence forces.

The Russian Defence Ministry has not yet commented on the reported drone attack.

The Ukrainian side has also not commented on these reports

The previous night, 3 May, drones attacked several regions of Russia, particularly the Moscow and Leningrad regions.

Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, various targets on Russian territory have been subjected to airstrikes. The most frequent targets of attacks in 2024 and 2025 were oil refineries (refineries).

The AFU General Staff confirmed most of the attacks, saying that the Ukrainian Defence Forces were “systematically implementing measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation forces and forcing the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine”.
