In the evening of 27 October in St. Petersburg, Russia, the police repeatedly detained and took to the station the guitarist of the band “Stoptime” Alexander Orlov, who had served his arrest in a special detention centre. Soloist Diana Loginova was taken to the police directly from the special detention centre, she was supposed to quit tomorrow at about six in the morning, reports the TV channel “Present Time”.
According to local publication “Paper”, two protocols have been drawn up on Orlov for discrediting the Russian army. This may become the basis for a criminal case.
The fate of the third member of the band, drummer Vladislav Leontiev, is unknown: he is expected to leave the special detention centre in the evening of 28 October.
Participants of “Stoptime” were detained on October 15 after performing songs by Monetochka, Noize MC and Zemfira in the centre of St. Petersburg. The street concerts, which had been taking place since April, were attended by numerous spectators, it was actively discussed in social networks.
The performers, whose songs were sung by the street group, are recognised as foreign agents in Russia, criminal cases have been initiated against Noize MC (Ivan Alekseev) and Monetochka (Elizaveta Girdimova). However, the performance of their works is not prohibited by law.
