One of the most influential makeup artists in the beauty world is now becoming a founder as well. Mary Phillips, whose make-up is recognisable from Hailey Bieber’s glowing skin and Kendall Jenner’s perfect tone, has unveiled her own brand of make-up called M.Ph.
The launch will take place on 15 August exclusively on Sephora.com, and the brand will later appear in the chain’s shops.
The new brand includes products for foundation, lips and brushes – everything you need for a complete Phillips-inspired look. The protagonist of the line is the Underpainting palette with correctors, contouring and highlighters, modelled after her viral makeup technique. According to the make-up artist, the idea to create her own line has been mature for a long time – she lacked in the industry exactly those shades and textures that correspond to her approach to beauty.
The inspiration for the name of the brand is also symbolic: M.Ph is the initials of Phillips’ name and at the same time a reference to “Mary’s philosophy”, i.e. to her author’s vision of make-up. Each product is thought out to the last detail. For example, lip pencils are wooden to achieve the most precise contour, while blushes and palettes are exclusively creamy to achieve a natural finish.
