US President Donald Trump has announced that White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt will step down from her post at the end of the month to spend more time with her family.
He added that Levitt would remain his adviser.
“Our wonderful White House Press Secretary and one of my most trusted aides, Caroline Levitt, will be stepping down at the end of the month to spend more time with her lovely young children and family,” Trump wrote on social media.
“Caroline will now be one of my chief external advisers and an influential voice in the Republican Party,” he added.
Commenting on the decision, Levitt thanked Trump “for entrusting her with the special honour of speaking on his behalf from the White House podium” “and confirmed that she would be his” chief external adviser and would always remain an active advocate of MAGA (Make America Great Again) “Make America Great Again” — a political movement in the US centred on President Donald Trump. Levitt, who is now 28, joined Trump’s 2024 election campaign and served as press secretary for the transition team before being appointed White House press secretary. Levitt has become the youngest person ever to be appointed to this post.
