Tusk commented on the death of a child with Polish citizenship because of the Russian strike on Ternopil

As a result of the Russian attack on Ternopil, in particular, a seven-year-old Polish citizen Amelia Grzesko was killed – this was announced, in particular, by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on 21 November.

“Amelka was seven years old. Seven. Polish child. She died in Ternopil during a brutal Russian missile attack. She will never fulfil any of her dreams,” he wrote on his X page.

Tusk added that Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine must end and Russia must not win it, “because it is also a War for the future of our children.”

Earlier, the death of a girl with Polish citizenship in Ternopil was reported by the speaker of the Polish Foreign Ministry Maciej Wiewior. He specified that the child died together with her mother.

“Our office is in constant contact with the authorities of the Ternopil region,” added Vevior.

Now it is known about 31 dead, including six children, because of the Russian strike on a high-rise building in Ternopil.

The Russian Federation attack in Ternopil hit residential buildings. According to the Interior Ministry, two residential 9-storey buildings were damaged in the city: in one – fire, in the other – destruction from the 3rd to the 9th floor.
