Why almonds are a real superfood: nutritionists outline how the nut affects the body

Skin. Almonds are rich in vitamin E, which protects the skin from damage and keeps it moisturised. A study by the University of California at Davis showed: postmenopausal women who ate two servings of almonds every day had significantly improved skin condition after 24 weeks.

muscle recovery. Manaker also cites a study by San Dieg State University and King’s College London: participants who ate almonds every day for eight weeks had less muscle damage and pain after exertion than those who consumed pretzels.
