Why dental treatment in Turkey ended in hellish agony

British woman Lynne Abeyance says that after a dental procedure in Turkey, her life has become a daily pain. She cannot breathe normally through her nose and her face is covered with inflammation.

The woman received implants that cannot be removed due to infection and the procedure has even caused her nasal septum to collapse.

Lynn, 41, spent around £3,000 on initial treatment in Turkey and a further £2,000 on private treatments in the UK, hoping for at least some relief.

Despite this, the pain has not subsided and the woman is forced to live with constant discomfort.

“Every morning I wake up and immediately feel like I can’t breathe through my nose,” says Lynn Abejans, DJake and music producer.

The surgery turned into a horror

In April 2024, Lynn travelled to Antalya to have four dental implants fitted. ibiotics didn’t help.

Government medical centres refused to help – they said, warned of the risks of travelling.

A private dentist showed X-rays: the implants had pierced the nose. Temporary teeth were removed and dentures fitted, but the infection didn’t go away.

Lynne was eventually hospitalised at the Princess Royal Private Hospital in Telford. Doctors said it was impossible to remove the implants because of the severe infection.

“The implants are holding my face but everything is infected,” says Lynne.

She has been suffering from constant nasal infections for a year and a half and has to take medication every day. The woman is looking for a surgeon who can help.
