The Cloudflare cloud service has suffered a massive outage, causing many websites around the world, including Ukraine, to stop working.
In particular, social network X (formerly Twitter) was unavailable. There are also interruptions in access to Spotify, ChatGPT and news sites. Many news sites in Ukraine are also down.
Users in the US, Germany, Turkey, Australia, India and Egypt are reporting connectivity problems.
Thousands of users have reported outages on the website of DownDetector, a company that monitors problems with websites and online services in real time.
According to Downdetector, a large number of different information sites such as news and entertainment resources, numerous online games such as League of Legends and Roblox, Epic Games Store, Paypal, Canva, US mobile operators, dating apps and many other services and services around the world, including in Ukraine, are currently unavailable.
Cloudflare stated that they are aware of the problem and are now trying to find out what exactly happened.
They noted that services are slowly being restored, but some platforms may still be a bit “buggy” until the problem is fully resolved.
Cloudflare is a very large company that deals with internet security around the world, specifically checking whether real people, not bots, are visiting a website.
