Have a green beer
We tell you how to make a traditional Irish green beer to celebrate St Patrick’s Day! It is an essential element of this holiday.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of pale ale
- 3 drops of green food colouring
- 1 glass of dark beer
Preparation:
- Pour the light beer into a beer glass, add the green food colouring and stir.
- Then use a spoon to gradually pour in the dark beer. Make sure that the layers do not mix.

Prepare a ginger cupcake with Baileys cream:
Ingredients:
- Butter-100 g
- Wheat flour-150 g
- Soda
- Sugar – 125 g
- Vanillin-1 sachet
- Ginger (root) – 3 cm
- Egg-2 pcs
- Leavening agent-0,5 tsp.
- Lemon, juice only – 1 pc
For the cream:
- Heavy cream-200 ml
- Powdered sugar-2 tbsp.
- Baileys liqueur-3 tbsp.
Preparation:
- Grate the lemon zest on a fine grater.
- Squeeze juice from the lemon.
- Rub softened butter with sugar, add vanillin, zest, lemon juice, egg yolks, grated ginger and knead.
- Mix the flour with the baking soda, baking powder and vanilla and combine with the butter mixture in small portions.
- Beat the egg whites into a stiff foam and gently mix into the batter.
- Grease a small muffin mould with a centre with butter. Spread the batter into the moulds.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
- Check the readiness of the batter by piercing the muffin with a toothpick. If it stays dry, the cupcakes are ready.
- While the cupcakes are baking, whip the cream with the icing sugar to the consistency of cream, gently add the liqueur, whip a little more.
- Remove the cupcakes from the mould and cool.
- Fill the cavity in the middle with cream and let stand in the fridge for about an hour. Serve with coffee.
