Teachers play a key role in shaping the minds of young people. Their dedication, patience and self-sacrifice deserve recognition and appreciation. World Teachers’ Day is a gesture of gratitude for their tireless efforts.
In some countries, Teachers’ Day is celebrated on a different date: for example, in India it is on 5 September, and in Argentina on 11 September. In Ukraine, however, the tradition of celebrating it on the first Sunday in October has been preserved; this year, it falls on 4 October.
Congratulations on World Teachers’ Day 2026
Happy Teachers’ Day!
O teachers! How wonderful!
For you have chosen a purpose in life;
And now, on behalf of everyone, I say:
— Thank you, dear ones,
For your selfless and noble mission!
****
Thank you, teachers,
That we walk boldly upon the earth,
That we know all about the oceans,
And have even heard of the estuaries…
For Troy and for Carthage,
for benzene-chloropropylene,
for ‘no’ rather than ‘yes’, for two times two,
For your kind words.
For all the knowledge you have given us,
For this we thank you!
****
Please allow us to wish you a happy holiday.
We wish you happiness, good health and all the best,
Respect, warmth and a long life,
Love and faith, and wealth beyond measure.
May your work be easy and your life be joyful,
And may everything you set your mind to succeed straight away,
We all offer you our heartfelt congratulations on Teachers’ Day,
We wish you all the very best in the world.

I wish you a Happy Teachers’ Day!
I sincerely wish that
that your pupils may hold you in high esteem,
and that all disagreements may fade away.
Peace, comfort and hope,
May your dreams always come true!
To you, our teacher! Our guide and friend!
You have chosen a difficult path.
We thank you so very much today
For your sacred work as a teacher!
To those who helped us recognise what is good,
To those who have revealed the secrets of life’s paths to us,
To those who give us wings every day,
To those who have kindled our thirst for knowledge.
To those whose labour is hard and arduous,
To those whose words sow the seeds of goodness,
To those who have revealed to us the dawn of science
Our festive and heartfelt congratulations!

Not everyone can be a teacher,
Not every heart knows how to speak…
A teacher is only one who knows how to listen,
To inspire, to teach and to love.
To warm a fragile soul with tenderness
And sow the field with kindness,
To love the whole world boundlessly and sincerely
And devote their whole selves to children.

October is bountiful with autumn colours
Teachers’ Day – what a celebration!
To the great educational family
The children send their heartfelt congratulations!
Everyone looks so lovely today,
So shine upon us like the sun, and be happy!
These meetings with you are so interesting and inspiring,
So that the teachers’ eyes might shine like stars,
And that pupils work hard at school to their credit,
And may the state hold your work in the highest regard!
****
Please accept my sincere, heartfelt congratulations
On your professional holiday, teachers!
May your lessons be a resounding success,
May the children love and respect you.
May you find inner strength, inspiration and warmth,
So that every moment may be a shining one.
May the school be like a second home,
So that it is a cosy and pleasant place to be!
