US-based Travelers Cos. one of the country’s largest property and casualty insurance companies, has increased its third-quarter 2025 net income 1.5 times and revenue 5 per cent.
The company said in a press release that net income for the July-September period was $1.89 billion, or $8.24 per share, compared with $1.26 billion, or $5.42 per share, for the same period a year earlier.
Earnings excluding one-time factors came in at $8.14 per share, beating the consensus forecast of $6.39 per share from analysts surveyed by FactSet.
The company’s revenue rose to $12.47 billion, up from $11.9 billion a year earlier. Travelers’ net insurance premiums rose 1% last quarter to $11.47bn, against a market forecast of $11.69bn.
Natural catastrophe claims fell to $402m from $939m a year earlier.
Last quarter, the company repurchased 2.3 million shares of its own stock for a total of $628 million. The board approved a quarterly dividend of $1.1 per share.
Travelers shares are losing 4% in early trading Thursday. Their value has increased 11.9% since the beginning of this year.
