A shooting on the Greek island of Crete in the village of Vorisia on Saturday left a man and a woman dead and several others injured, according to law enforcement officials, who described the incident as “a possible continuation of a family vendetta.”
According to them, the shooting was opened by the assailants in the morning. At least ten people were injured, according to the Athens News Agency.
Police specified that four of the injured were taken to hospitals. Among them-two men whose role in the shooting is being investigated.
The investigation is ongoing and law enforcers are trying to establish all the circumstances of the incident and those involved in the attack.
According to law enforcement officials, the shooting came after an explosion incident on Friday night at a construction site where explosives were planted.
The island of Crete has a long tradition of bloody family conflicts (vendettas), which often arise from disputes over revenge for dishonour or insults.
