Global spending in artificial intelligence (AI) could increase by 47 per cent to $2.6 trillion in 2026, according to a press release from research firm Gartner.
“So far, AI spending has been driven largely by technology companies and large cloud providers,” notes Gartner lead analyst John-David Lovelock. – Enterprises have yet to realise its full spending potential. This will happen, and 2026 will be a tipping point.”
In 2027, AI spending is expected to increase 35 per cent to $3.5 trillion.
