In Russia, a German right-wing manifesto from 1926 has been recognised as extremist

In Russia, the St. Petersburg City Court declared the right-wing radical manifesto of German writer Friedrich Georg Jünger, “The March of Nationalism”, to be extremist material.

The expert examination found in it propaganda of nationalism and “signs of threat to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, their state security, health and morality of citizens” (a characteristic quote from Jünger’s work – “let thousands, even millions perish; what do these rivers of blood mean compared to the state into which all the anxiety and longing of the German being is poured!”).

Friedrich Georg Jünger never belonged to the Nazi Party; after Hitler came to power, the writer was interrogated by the Gestapo.

The Manifesto was written in 1926 and was published in Russian in 2022 by Russian Revolver. In 2024, the book was seized at customs at Pulkovo airport from a 17-year-old resident of St. Petersburg.

The description of the work on the publisher’s page says that Jünger’s work became one of the main texts of the conservative revolution.
