In order to change the course of events, the heroes need to find the eternal stone – an artefact that exists in all times, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Although filming on Avengers: Judgment Day is set to begin in London in a few weeks, Marvel is already actively developing the Doctor Doom storyline in the comics.
As part of the “One World Under Doom” story, Doom has taken over Earth, and in July’s Fantastic Four #1, the heroes travel to different eras in search of a way to overcome him. The main goal will be the eternal stone, which could be the key to saving the world. In addition, Ben Grimm, or “the thing,” will encounter a dinosaur.
Ryan North, who has long worked on stories for the Fantastic Four, shared his thoughts on the new issue. He noted that while the plot starts with dinosaurs and time travel, the main theme is the relationships between the team members.
They are not only family, but best friends. It’s science fiction filled with real emotion,” North said.
Artist Humberto Ramos also shared his impressions, saying that while he has worked on many iconic characters, this book is special to him. Responsibility for the history and legacy of these characters is felt in every frame, he said.
