Streaming service HBO has announced that filming of the Harry Potter series has already begun. They also published a photo of actor Dominic McLaughlin as the main character.
The company also published information about new actors who joined the series. So Neville Longbottom will play Rory Wilmot, Harry’s cousin Dudley Dursley will be embodied by Amos Kitson. Hogwarts teacher on a broomstick Madame Gooch will play Louise Briley, and the manufacturer of wands Ollivander – Anton Lesser.
According to Deadline, the series is being described as” an accurate adaptation ” of the beloved books, and its executive producer is original material author J.K. Rowling.
The series will debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max.
Each season of the series will focus on one book in the Harry Potter series. The second season is scheduled to be filmed in 2026.
