Ozzy and Sharon have been married for over 40 years. When the musician was asked what he was most proud of, the answer was “a long marriage”.
Meanwhile, Sharon emphasised: they were both no saints, but they were truly meant to be together. The couple had their ups and downs. In 2013, the lovers even separated and took off their wedding rings. However, it was obvious to everyone: it’s only a short rain, and the flame is bound to flare up again. Then Ozzy decided to overcome his addiction for the sake of Sharon, and she admitted that she fell in love with her husband for the second time.
I believe there is only one true love in life. I’m still in love with my wife. That’s the main thing,” Ozzy emphasised.
Ozzy and Sharon met in the 1970s, when the girl’s father was the manager of Black Sabbath. When Ozzy was fired from the band because of abuse of illegal substances, it was Sharon who helped him get back to normal life. Their relationship was friendly at first, but after Ozzy’s divorce from his first wife, it turned romantic.
The couple exchanged wedding vows in Hawaii in 1982.
“We first met when I was 18, in over 52 years we have been friends, lovers, husband and wife, grandparents and soul mates,” Sharon remarked.
Until the last day of Ozzy’s life, Sharon was by his side. As a lover, an ally, a support. Today, their story is remembered when they say: This is why I still believe in love.
